Preparatory student Irich Joy M. Cajes of Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. swept the competition in the preliminary levels of the 2017 Kindergarten Festival of Talents. Cajes competed against a contestant from St. Therese School of Arts and Science, Inc. in the private schools cluster round in the Filipino category of the contest last Sept. 12, 2017. She was then pitted against Pinagbayanan Elementary School, the winner in the public schools cluster round, Sept. 29. RILI won this round to secure a spot to represent Pila District in the provincial level of the competition on Oct. 20, 2017
RILI also participated in the English category of the contest. The school was represented by Lei Anne Rania D. Chavez.
RILI's storytelling team was trained by school administrator Mrs. Miriam A. Añoso.
