RILI competes in regional agribusiness quiz

Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. (RILI) competed in the Regional Clash of CALABARZON High School Students: An Agribusiness Contest and Symposium 2012 organized by the University of the Philippines Agribusiness Society (UPABS)., Dec. 3 at the Institute of Cooperatives and Bio-Enterprise Development (ICOPED) Auditorium at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB).

RILI was represented by James Christian Espayos, Kenneth Cyrus Celso, Ronnel Fajardo, and Mark Donnel de Patiño. Espayos, Celso, and Fajardo competed in the Agribusiness Quiz Contest while de Patiño competed in the Poster-Making Contest. The contestants also attended the symposium that followed.

Other RILI students who attended the symposium were Pauline Alyana Pandacan, Kaitlyn Shane Corales, Louise Anne Nido, Frecanzie Nogrado, Renz Dale Reyes, and Bryan Oquendo.

RILI competed against seven other schools from all over the CALABARZON region. Laguna College in San Pablo City emerged as the overall champion.

Admin, teachers attend 1st CAPSBE confab

School administrator Mrs. Miriam Añoso and teachers Mr. Ronaldo Morales and Ms. Perla Drilon represented Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. (RILI) in the first regional congress of the Concerned Association of Private Schools in Basic Education (CAPSBE) Region IV-A, Nov. 30, at Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Speakers in the congress tackled various issues in the private school sector such as the status of the K-12 curriculum, government recognition and assistance, and related topics.

Hon. Casimiro Ynares III, provincial governor of Rizal, was keynote speaker. Other speakers in the educators' forum were Ms. Rita Atienza, Mr. Don Brodette, and Dr. Carol Porio.
