Laguna, Tarlac campuses celebrate Nutrition Month 2014

Contests, talent presentations, and a pageant were the means to convey the message of this year's Nutrition Month program held July 28 at Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. - Concepcion, Tarlac and on July 31 at Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc (RILI) in Pila, Laguna.

RILI - Concepcion, Tarlac held a fun event filled with games and activities for its preschool and Grade 1 students during their celebration. Teachers gave a short lecture and a held a film showing to make sure that students know the importance of being healthy. Students also participated in fun games connected to food and nutrition.

At Pila, the morning session saw high school students preparing meals which were easy to make during a disaster. Key ingredients are sardines, bananas, and other food items one may find in relief goods or are easy to find in the aftermath of a calamity. Other grade levels engaged in making and eating healthy meals. In the afternoon, the search for G. at Bb. Nutrisyon was held where Grade 7 students Mark Herson Vargas and Careyn Lyn Abogado won.

This year's Nutrition Month theme was Kalamidad Paghandaan: Gutom at Malnutrisyon Agapan! in light of recent calamities that struck the country.
