Students vote for new SC officers; Ortiz wins presidency

Bethany Praise Ortiz of Year IV-Ruby was elected president of RILI Student Council (Pila, Laguna) for SY 2013-2014 during its 2nd elections, June 24.

With 34 votes, Ortiz who a member of the Campus Leading Association Party (CLAP) won the presidency over Isabel Silva of the Dedicated, Responsible and Enthusiastic Party (DREP) and Kate Aprilyn Surbano of the RILI Intelligent Party (RIP).

Prior to the elections, a campaign rally was set on June 20 so the candidates were able to state their plans for this school year and convince their fellow classmates. Parties were also given two days to campaign in the classrooms.

Class representatives are the elected presidents of each class. In case the president ran and won a higher position, the vice president will automatically be the class representative.

Preschools march at grad rites in RILI Laguna and Tarlac

to their parents at the candle and flower ceremony to cap the the
graduation rites.
Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. - Concepcion, Tarlac and Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc.'s main campus in Pila, Laguna held graduation ceremonies for preschool students, March 19 and 26, respectively.

At RILI - Concepcion, Tarlac, the program started with school administrator Mrs. Miriam Añoso's opening remarks. The students were then presented by their advisers, Mrs. Margie Sicat and Mrs. Ruth Mandani, and then confirmed promoted students and graduates by principal Mr. Daniel Ezra A. Añoso. Awards and certificates were then given to the honor students and students with special awards.

Zyra Gallarde of Preparatory - Blue was valedictorian of the Concepcion, Tarlac campus. Ergyl Manaloto and Alleykha Franze Borja received the Academic Excellence Award. Kindergarten - Pink's Sheena Panelo was Most Outstanding Student while Zaira Chloe Oba received the Outstanding Student Award. In Nursery - Yellow, Carlos Miguel Oba received the Outstanding Student Award.

In Pila, Laguna, administrator Mrs. Añoso also welcomed the graduates, parents, and guests. Students were presented by their advisers Ms. Christine Pelobello, Ms. Jovelyn Eguia, and Ms. Li Anne Agurin and then confirmed by principal Mr. Añoso.

RILI holds HS, Elem grad rites; Espayos, Balinas lead Batch 2013

James Christian Espayos of Year IV-Ruby and Marcus Adrian Balinas of Grade 6-Red are class valedictorians of Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. for SY 2012-2013. The graduation ceremonies were held March 26 at the school grounds. This year's theme is Building the Nation's Future Leaders through the K-12 Basic Education Program.

The ceremony started with the administrator, Mrs. Miriam Añoso's opening remarks followed by the challenge of the graduating class and the acceptance of the representatives from Grade 5 and Year III. After which the graduated classes were presented by Mr. Ronaldo Morales and Mrs. Jeroline Ocampo, advisers of Year IV and Grade 6, respectively, and confirmed by the principal Mr. Daniel Ezra Añoso.

This year's guest speaker, Prof. Juancho Balatibat of the University of the Philippines Los Baños, inspired the graduates with advice on how to become successful individuals. His speech was followed by the salutatory addresses of Guila Mae Castañeda and Kenneth Cyruz Celso of Grade 6-Red and Year IV-Ruby, respectively. Castañeda thanked her family, teachers and friends for her success. Celso reminisced happy moments with his classmates and friends in RILI.

The valedictorians then gave their speeches. Balinas also thanked his family and friends for their support and urged his fellow graduates to continue to work hard for their education. Espayos equally emphasized this and said, "...in whatever line of interest we choose to fulfill, we should remember that victory and prosperity could only be attained through patience and hardships."

As final words, Principal Añoso reminded the graduates to strive to do their best and not waste their potentials. He coined H. W. Longfellow's A Psalm of Life, "So let us then be up and doing, / With a heart for any fate. / Still achieving, still pursuing, / Learn to labor and to wait."

The graduates then honored their parents in the Candle and Flower Ceremony that followed. After that, they recited the pledge of the graduates and sang their graduation songs.
