Students and teachers tasted the healthy desserts they created for the school's Nutrition Program. |
Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. held its annual Nutrition Program, July 31, 2017 at the school grounds. Students from all levels participated in the event. This year's theme was "Healthy Diet Gawing Habit -- for life!"
The event started with a short program. Each cluster gave a short presentation and then proceeded to their hands-on activities.
The preschool department engaged in creating "smiling" desserts using apples, peanut butter, and marshmallows. Those from the Grade 1-3 cluster were busy with mamon decorating. Meanwhile, the Grades 4-6 were taught how to create healthy sandwiches. Junior high students participated in a dessert-making contest. All events were facilitated by the senior high students.
The event ended with a boodle fight which was participated by students, parents, and teachers.
Preschool teacher Ms. Rebecca Dorado was the event chair while Grade 6 adviser Mr. Alexis Melchor Sta. Ana was the program host.
