Dragonfly runners land in top 15 in Pailah Fun Run

Runners (L-R) John Nico Chumacera, Renzo Oca, and Mark
Donnel de Patiño, together with adviser Mr. Ronaldo Morales,
prepare for the race.
Three secondary students of Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. (RILI) were among the first 15 to finish the 3K (3 kilometers) category of the Pailah Fun Run in Pila, Laguna, March 21. The race is part of the celebration of the Pailah Festival.

Mark Donnel de Patiño, Renzo Oca, and John Nico Chumacera, 4th Year students (now graduates), placed 8th, 10th, and 15th, respectively, in the race. The three are members of the Black Fighting Dragonflies, the school's sports team.

The three runners bested other participants which came from all parts of Laguna.

This is not the first time that Dragonfly runners finished at the top of the pack in competitions. Elementary and high school runners from RILI bagged medals in the Pila Elementary Schools Athletic Association cluster athletic meet and district meet in 2012.
