Students of Rainbow Institute of Learning, Inc. are busy preparing for the upcoming Foundation Day on Feb. 23-24. Headed by their advisers, students from all levels practice Philippine folk dances which they will present during the said event.
This year the Foundation Day aims to promote Filipino culture through dance, games, and other activities reflective of traditional and modern Filipino culture. Hence the theme Isang Sulyap sa mga Pamana ng Kulturang Pilipino.
The first day of the event will feature games for both students and parents. Students from all levels will be assigned to a group and compete in various games Filipinos play. Parents, on the other hand, are invited to join Bingo Social in the afternoon.
The second day of the event will be started by a parade. Students and teachers participating in the parade will be dressed in the costumes for the field demonstration where they will showcase Philippine folk dances. The search for Little Mr. and Ms RILI 2011, one of the highlights of the event, will follow.
This year's Gala Night will also be part of the festivities. The ball will be held in the evening of the second day and will feature the coronation of this year's Mr. and Ms. RILI 2011.
